Las Vegas Neil Diamond Tribute Show

ROB GARRETT’S “King of Diamonds” Vegas residency show is still thrilling audiences in the “Modern Showrooms Las Vegas” at Alexis Park Resort Hotel.

Neil Diamond is one of the most successful and beloved singer/songwriters in contemporary pop-rock music history.

More than just being one of the top-selling and record-breaking touring artists ever, he’s also created and performed the songs of a generation — including some of the most famous songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond retired from touring after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

However, Diamond’s concert legacy continues to be preserved for audiences worldwide through longtime Las Vegas performer Rob Garrett, known as America’s premier Neil Diamond tribute performer.

Ask Alexa “who is the best Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll get the same answer.

Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In the spring of 1974, his parents relocated from New York City to the Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas kids under 12 allowed Las Vegas Valley, where, in 1976, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him multiple times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett created his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a decade-and-a-half career in Las Vegas and across the nation before deciding to move from cover band frontman to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his musical idols.

In 1995, Garrett was personally hired by Paul Revere, leader of “The Raiders” to portray Neil Diamond in the Honolulu production of “Legends in Concert”.

What was meant to be a limited run turned into a long-term hit show.

By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to go independent.

He began a steady touring schedule, building a strong worldwide fan community along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds.”

He continues to perform to sold-out venues nationwide, often in venues fit for superstars.

Garrett has also earned several honors, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating Rob’s 50 years as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in this year, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has appeared at more Vegas stages than any other.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only continuous Neil Diamond tribute in the U.S..

Alexis Park Resort Hotel is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., just ¼ mile west of Paradise Rd..
